Our Favourite Venues of 2017

Wednesday 31st January 2018

Hi folks!

What. A. Year. 2017 was our biggest yet - we cemented our reputation as the UK’s foremost live lounge wedding band with a record number of shows!

We love playing venues all across the country, so we thought we’d use this blog to talk about a few of our favourites from last year! Who knows - maybe it’ll help you plan your next big event, too.

1st July and the 7th Oct – Wasing Park, Aldermaston, Reading

We did a two different gigs here in 2017  – Wasing Park is always one of our favourite places to play. Its such a beautiful venue in the outdoors with tents and log fires, as well as lots of space for an indoor affair in their gorgeous barn.

8th July – Lulworth Castle, Wareham, Dorset

Another stunning venue steeped in history with crypts and apparently ghosts too!! The crowd were great and two guys in particular were bustin’ a groove right from the start before anyone else had a chance to warm up! :o) Here’s our testimonial…

'Band were fantastic, had the best night! They kept people dancing all night long. Their performance of our first dance was exceptional, and truly something we will never forget! Fantastic. Thank you so much!'

26th Aug – The Asylum, Caroline Garden's Chapel, London

Such and incredible venue - The Asylum at Caroline Garden’s Chapel is such an unusual spot for a wedding but it really works - so atmospheric and romantic. We learnt a song to play the bride down the aisle which was Wildest Moments by Jessie Ware (acoustic version) and got a lovely testimonial from the happy couple.

'5/5 - Simply beautiful. The bands version of my aisle song was a major highlight of the day and brought tears to many eyes. It was all so perfect.'

We loved this song so much that we decided to record it as one of our demos which we have now added to our website along with a few Christmas classics :o)

21st Oct – Middle Temple Venue Hire, Middle Temple Lane, London

Another stunning venue. A little taste of 17th Century London amidst the hustle and bustle of the west end! The bride got up to surprise her new husband by singing her own version of the Ed Sheeran song Gallway Girl – she rewrote the lyrics to fit their journey in life together.

3rd Mar – The Bell Inn (New Forest), Brook, New Forest

Was good to be back at this lovely venue and luckily we were able to get to the gig through the snow!! :o) The wedding was for Phil and Ken and Phil got up to sing a song as a surprise gift to Ken. Then Will got up and did a surprise song for everyone. A very talented family! Was such a fun evening with lovely people.

We’re so excited to get back out for another summer of Live Lounge wedding entertainment! Watch this space for more!
